Members must vote in person at meetings. A majority of members present at a meeting shall decide all issues.
Voting Eligibility - Members are eligible to vote, except in the election of officers, if they have attended at least one prior meeting as a member* during the preceding six months. For the election of officers, members must have attended two meetings as a member in the prior six months.
*Important: Please note that if you submit an application at a meeting, you will not be entered on the membership list until the following meeting. Therefore, you will not be entitled to vote until after you attend one meeting with your name on the membership list (and two meetings as a member for officer elections).
Non-members are welcome to attend NEWRA meetings and address the attendees at the discretion of the President.
