Eldin Villafane, new community manager, will introduce himself and discuss his role and areas of focus for community engagement in the North End. 

7:00 pm - 97 Salem Street Condominium Project
Applicant seeks to change legal occupancy from retail/office to bakery/retail on first floor and five residential units above. Proposal includes erecting five-story vertical addition with proposed building height of 66.5' and two private roof decks. Project requires zoning variances: excessive height, FAR, insufficient rear yard setback, roof structure/headhouse violations, no off-street parking. Peter Alfe, trustee, Derric Small, attorney.

December 9, 2025 ZLC Meeting

Proposed new six-story building with 13 residential units, ground-floor retail and elevator. Project requires zoning relief for height, density, and other use-related violations identified in ISD refusal letter. Maria Forno, 210 Hanover St. 
Dolvero LLC, has filed for Common Victualler license (no alcohol) for sit-down restaurant serving all-day breakfast and pizza.  Proposed hours 6 am-2 am daily. Seeking ZBA approval for a change of use/occupancy to permit take-out service. No construction planned. Charles Terrill, owner. ​

Will discuss downtown area zoning and their Streets & Sidewalks Working Group that is tracking sidewalks, streets in need of repair. Overview of Streets & Sidewalks results.
  
7:15 pm - Andrea Burns director, City of Boston Age Strong Commission
Will discuss safety issues and available  assistance to the 55+ population   

7:30 pm RUFF: Richmond St Dog Run Renovations 
RUFF has received a state grant and will share preliminary renderings from a landscape architect to  gather neighborhood input for the design features. David Goggins, Leslie Wallus, RUFF. ​

In addition to a public safety update from Sergeant Sean Wallace and Officer Michael Mustacchio, CompStat Analyst Rebecca Gavel will preview an upcoming BPD program to survey residents about public safety concerns. 

7:00 pm - Josh Kraft, candidate, Mayor of Boston
Will discuss initiatives and answer your questions.

7:30 pm - Patrick Roath, candidate, 8th Congressional District
Will discuss initiatives and answer your questions.

7:45 pm - VOTE: 78-80 Salem St, Umami Crudo
Umani Crudo d/b/a is purchasing the assets of the Crudo Restaurant and will continue business under new ownership and management. Proposed hours of operation, daily 11:00 am to 12:30 am. On July 15, Boston Licensing Board approved the applications for common victualer’s license and to transfer beer, wine and cordials license. Huipeng Lei, owner, Russell Chin, attorney. ​

Tom Damigella, president, NEHS, and Frank DePasquale, DePasquale Ventures, will discuss plans for the new North End Museum. 

7:45 pm Robyn Reed, president, Friends of DeFilippo Playground, will discuss her project to install a photographic mural depicting the former gas tank that was previously on the playground and will be collecting personal stories of how people used and enjoyed the Gassy playground over the years.

7:50 pm -  Laurel Radwin, coordinator, Roslindale Coalition, will provide an update on the Boston Planning Department's Squares and Streets rezoning of Roslindale Square.
