7:00 pm - Rep. Aaron Michlewitz will provide a budget overview and answer questions.

Bella Vista Restaurant, 288 Hanover St
Seeks to add cordials to their malt & wine license and amend first floor plan to add a 12- seat bar, leaving 24 seats at tables.

96 & 98 Prince Street
Federal Investments, Inc. seeks to create 14 residential units by combining the two lots, adding a 5th floor and rear additions.

Owner Joe Bono seeks to increase seating at his two restaurants on Salem Street:
Al Dente from 36 to 49 and Benevento's from 40 to 60.

Report on sidewalk conditions and repairs.

Thandine Brown, director, Rakia Islam, manager, engagement & operations, will discuss the application and funding process for affordable housing, historic preservation, and open space and recreation. 

7:00 pm Walk Massachusetts 
Iolando Spinola, senior program manger, Walk Massachusetts, will discuss their mission to improve walkability across Boston and the state.

Should the North End have Historic District protections? Boston Landmarks Commission’s Rosanne Foley, Chelsea Blanchard and Nicholas Armata will discuss past efforts and process moving forward.

7:15 pm Flamingo Restaurant, 266 Commercial St.  
Owners Jairo Dominguez and Ty DiStasi will discuss restaurant operations and address neighborhood concerns.

MassDOT, engineering firm Howard Stein Hudson and the contractor will provide an update on the closure of the Sumner Tunnel.

Has applied for permanent outdoor dining patio on a portion of the public sidewalk. NEWRA vote. 

7:15 pm - Bencotto, 357-361 Hanover St
Seeking to increase seating capacity from 49 to 60 patrons. NEWRA vote.

80 Atlantic Ave
M. Cooke, Inc. d/b/a The Boston Sail Loft has applied to the City for a permanent outdoor dining patio on a portion of the public sidewalk. An 8-foot wide portion of the sidewalk and the entire bike path will be left unobstructed. No parking spots will be affected.


Bencotto 
357-361 Hanover St
Bencotto Restaurant is seeking to increase its seating capacity from 49 to 60 patrons, by adding 11 seats. No work is to be done.

This month’s meeting has been cancelled. MassDOT will present at a later date on the upcoming Sumner Tunnel closure. There is no outdoor dining update at this time.

MassDOT, engineering firm Howard Stein Hudson and the contractor will update the community on the upcoming four month closure of the Sumner Tunnel. 

7:00 pm - Marathon Daffodils 
Diane Valle, president, will discuss this year's plans to adorn the city and Boston Marathon route with daffodils. 

7:15 pm - North Washington & Causeway Streets - Tower 
Update on NEWRA and West End Civic Association outreach to city officials on the proposed 700' tower at North Washington & Causeway. ​

NEWRA will host a special meeting for the neighborhood on Thursday, January 12 to discuss with city agencies and elected officials the impacts the outdoor dining program is having on the community. The City of Boston Outdoor Dining team will attend. Updates to follow with elected officials and other agencies planning to attend.
